Curl up and sleep
Sleep to rest and be the best
Better than all the rest
Of the magnificent innocents
Conquering their mighty
Quests in their sleep.
Curl up and sleep
To dream.

I like the soft rhythm of the poem but I can’t seem to pin down what it means. I know some poets don’t like to explain their work but i’m interested in what you think the poem is about.
Glad you like the rhythm and I’ll try to decipher the meaning. As you know I write the words that I see in my mind and here first to come was the ‘Curl up and sleep’ and it went from there. What I felt at the end of the writing was someone curling up to sleep to dream dreams of achieving all they desire in the innocence of a child. Hope that helps!
Ah, now I see. It makes me like the poem even more. Thanks for telling me 🙂
Your welcome! And thank you for asking, for it gave me the chance to express how I felt and saw it myself.
