My Gallery of Lasting Memories

created for someone like you

Creating Jade's portrait for the 2024 Pet Portrait Calendar was both an honor and a heartfelt journey. Sadly, she left us during the calendar creation, and our deepest condolences go out to her folks. The loss of this wonderful girl is deeply felt, and she's sorely missed. As a tribute to her vibrant spirit, Jade rightfully became our 'Cover Girl.' ❤️ Watch her 'Creation' https://youtu.be/nrUJZz8kHVQ
I've brought to life a wonderful Bouvier named Hippo for my 2024 Calendar! Although I've never met Hippo in person, I've had the pleasure of seeing Joanne's posts on Facebook, showcasing Hippo's 'Work' and 'Relaxation'. He's undoubtedly a beloved treasure in her life! Watch his 'Creation' at https://youtu.be/X8sfW3lQPoE
A Great Dane named DC is now Timeless Art! She's the 5th Painting for my 2024 Pet & Affirmation Calendar and the very close companion of Arrow, who just happened to be my 2nd Painting! Her folks Lorraine and Deane, tell us a little about her, their life with her and Arrow - Enjoy! And be sure to watch her 'Creation' at https://youtu.be/T51x90Kjsek
Hey folks! I'm thrilled to share with you another painting I've did for my 2024 Art & Affirmation Calendar. This time, I've had the pleasure of capturing the vibrant spirit of a young girl named, York, a energetic Belgian Malinois. For those of you who have had the joy of a Malinois in your home, you understand the boundless energy they bring. They're true stars in the world of Working Dog Sports and from what I hear, York is a rising talent! Have a peek into my painting her portrait at https://youtu.be/0wOoJgak_cI
Ah, River – I met her just once. What a sweetheart! She's a quiet, gentle little girl with fur as soft as her personality. None of that raucous energy you might expect from a young lady. Oh no. River is more of an introvert, a stand-back-and-observe kind of girl who carefully decides on the best way to move forward. I would love to see her go a bit wild, letting loose with abandon. But for now, she's precious—oh, so precious. Painting her was a pleasure. Especially when those dark, sweet eyes were staring back at me. Each brush stroke felt like a silent conversation with her, capturing I hope, the essence of this little gentle soul. Can't wait to share the magic with you all! Watch at https://youtu.be/EEaiGXPTsPk
Mollie may be young but she is an old soul. Not only did her folks tell me this, but just look into her eyes and you can see that ancient knowledge. Kindness, gentleness and such a giving spirit. That too can be seen in her lovely eyes. Please enjoy my painting of Mollie come to life at https://youtu.be/hBRuxF--o5M
Introducing "Bubba" - the one and only! He was the second-to-last painting for my upcoming 2024 Art & Affirmation Calendar. Bubba was someone I knew. He had a personality that left a lasting impression. Whenever I'd visit, he'd give me that scrutinizing look, sizing me up as if to ask, 'Who are you? Why are you disrupting my space?' Then he'd be gone. In painting Bubba, I could feel his strong character staring back at me. It was as if he was saying, 'Get this right, make me look good, or you'll hear about it!' I invite you to watch as I hope, bring Bubba to life with my brushstrokes, capture his essence and most of all, gain his approval. 🤔 Hit play at https://youtu.be/7FJ6FJRMSBQ and enjoy the process. Let me know what you think.
This was the second painting in the series for my 2024 Pet Portrait Calendar. This is Arrow, a Great Dane who has won my heart just being with him, painting. Listen and read what his folks have to say about him at https://youtu.be/NKhJkvfM0LU - Enjoy!
Join me as I show you the process of making Mylo a Work ofArt! His unique, jangled ear fur, sweet, inquisitive expression made this painting a delight to work on. Despite a few personal challenges that slowed everything to a crawl, it was a pleasure to capture the essence (I hope) of this adorable little guy. Mylo was the 14th Painting for my 2024 Art & Affirmation Calendar and he, along with all of his furry compatriots on this journey, are a celebration of the joy they bring to our lives. Hit play, - https://youtu.be/lY8rsT9EblA - enjoy the show and let’s appreciate the love we share with our beloved pets.
Raven was the 6th in a series of paintings I've created for my 2024 Art & Affirmation Calendar. Jade, who was my 1st Painting is Raven's cohort and companion. Together, they assist their mom in her Dog Training business. As I painted Miss Raven, I felt she was sitting there posing for me, but getting impatient with how long it was taking! Almost could hear her sigh in exasperation - she had things to do!!!. Such a strong personality but a sweet, loving soul came through for me. I hope I've captured that in my 'Painting Raven' video! - https://youtu.be/FS3pGAqB2BQ
Trout is a young lady I've met before. Her folks commissioned me to do a couple of pen &ink drawings of her when she was just a pup. Such an expressive face and such a poser! You can see those pen & ink creations on my website at https://patriceclarkson.com/paint-with-patrice/trout-pen-ink-drawing/?v=e4b09f3f8402 And please go watch the 'Creation' of this Painting at https://youtu.be/HBW4MZ0rSPg Thanks for being part of my Creative Journey!!!
PJ marks the grand finale in my series of paintings for my 2024 Pet & Affirmation Calendar. Such a precious little girl! My heart melts each time I look into her eyes. ❤️ And it was a pleasure to have her with me to paint! Again, I hope you enjoy watching the process of making PJ into art - that I captured her essence, that her joy and warmth translate through to you, my audience. Watch at https://youtu.be/1Dg0YUbZGng - Enjoy!
I'm thrilled to bring you another painting in my artistic journey – the creation of Digby! Digby was the 8th painting of my 2024 Pet & Affirmation Calendar and the charming half of a brother-sister dynamo partnership. Digby and his sister, PJ, entered Christian and Michelle's family when their children were still young. Together, they weaved a heartwarming story of growing up side by side, forming an unbreakable bond. In his video, you'll witness the transformation of Digby's character into art - https://youtu.be/8vfvAejmrYQ
This 4th Painting for my 2024 Calendar is of a little Costa Rican dog named Coffee. I knew Coffee and he was such a sweet and gentle guy who cherished his folks and his little soulmate Mia, (an even littler dog!) Watch his 'Creation' at https://youtu.be/IqOGhVCuynY Enjoy.
This was the 3rd Painting for my 2024 Pet Portrait Calendar. I met Rosie and her mom at the Caledon Dog Show in 2022. They had their Dog Products Canada booth next to mine and Rosie's mom was a great help to me navigating the Show's intricacies! And Rosie showed off her beautiful self in the Show. She is one super sweet girl. Please enjoy my little video of me painting her - https://youtu.be/Pj_080Qwn8k

 Earlier Art Memories

Siegrun's Painting of herself and her beloved dogs, Rex and Asta. She commissioned this artwork as a Christmas present for her husband.
A commissioned 16"x20" Watercolour Painting of Keith and Martha's precious Sheba Inu, Taira. At the time, she was dying of carcinoma and they wanted a lasting memory of her. I was honoured to meet Taira, but she was NOT impressed with me! Believe she didn't like that when I visited, her folks were so sad. She was their 'Great Love' and they, her's.
11x14 Watercolour Art done for Karen. She won the draw for a portrait by me at the Cherry Valley Retreat Open House
Gil, a Courageous Rottie Painting was commissioned as a gift for his human mom, Miriam. She brought him to Canada to be part of a Seiger Show, but tragically, he developed a brain aneurism and never made it back to Germany. This Painting was a way for those who were part of the Show to convey their sympathy to Miriam.
Dave's Horse is a 11"x14" Watercolour Painting. Dave commissioned me to do this art as a present for his wife. See products in my Shop with this image.
Linda's Shepherd - This is a 11"x14" Watercolour Painting commissioned by Lisa and Joanne as a present for their friend, Linda of her beloved German Shepherd. Such an intense fellow!!!
Mom & Dad's Painting ~ Kathy commissioned me to do a 11"x14" Watercolour Painting of herself and her German Shepherd, Gunny. She wanted to give the art to her parents as a Mother's Day and a Father's Day present. Got really wrapped up and enjoyed working on the texture of the stone and the fabric of her jeans.
The Henry Painting was a 9"x12" Pen & Ink Drawing. It was commissioned by Ken as a Christmas present for his wife. Henry had recently passed away and Ken wanted something that would keep her memory with them. She always, always wore the red collar depicted and Ken asked that I make sure to include it and make it red! Sadly, Ken's wife was overwhelmed with grief when she opened the painting and I was told, Christmas was pretty much ruined. :(
This 16"x20" Watercolour Painting of Joanne & Cliff was commissioned by the Working Rottweiler Association of Canada as a present for Joanne. First, had to get a picture as reference, of the both of them together, enjoying one another without her realizing what was up. Then the painting started!
Long-haired Kitty Painting
Connie's Airdales -
Harvey, a Chocolate Lab was commissioned by his doting owner, for me to do his likeness after purchasing my donation at a Fundraising ceremony for the Markham Hospital. This piece of Art I've replicated on several products. Be sure to check them out on my Shop!
