For many years following my graduation from the Ontario College of Art my career was in Advertising. I had the opportunity to work at various publishers, printers and ad agencies. As well as being an in-house artist at a select set of businesses.
I enjoyed working as a designer and illustrator, but as my career advanced, drawing slowly faded from the forefront.
Some employers really had no idea that I could paint or for that matter, draw.

It was during a summer vacation that I decided to explore the possibility of freelancing. Maybe reconnecting to the kind of art I loved growing up.

I acquired a few projects, quit my full-time position and another phase of my life began!

Slowly the work went from assembly and design to illustration, to commissioned pet portraits.

Once again, I was drawing and painting animals as I had done as a child. Such a rewarding experience! Everchanging, evolving, something of great love and fulfillment.
