I painted this years ago, before my pet portrait business began - but was where the idea had it's beginnings. In a Rottweiler book, I found the reference picture for this art and created my version of what I saw. Realizing then that my art was always about animals not people, flowers, or landscapes. Animals have been my passion, my source of support and unconditional love. This piece represents to me, a beginning, the innocence of youth, the excitement of starting out - just as I was back then.
