Mouse in the house
Trapped in fear.
Deer mouse in the house
Leg held in a trap
No struggle is shown
Only big eyes show fear.
Hanging on for dear life
As I carry him up to outside
To release and let go.
A second chance for this guy
Use it well
Don’t come back in.
Next time, who knows
