This new Commission of a Beagle named Charlie, will be a Mother’s Day present and today, I’m selecting the reference image to work from.
rough Image Drawing
Continuing to work on Charlie and today, it’s getting the rough drawing done. So it can be placed on the watercolour paper.
Working on the background
Creating the background of the sky and dock boards. These first so Charlie will be in the foreground of the final painting.
Working on Charlie
Starting on Charlie, beginning with layering his brown fur. First a light tan colour, then a darker brown.
Final Work on Charlie
This is the final work on Charlie. It has been a pleasure to share this little fellow for a brief time and now, he will go to share this new kind of life with his mom – once again!
